A range of support services is available to help parents, carers and supervisors of our distance education students. 

Learning and wellbeing resources for parents and carers

Parents and carers provides useful information including learning and wellbeing resources, advice, study skills, a quick guide glossary, homework help, learning from home tools, support for students with additional needs and more.

The Isolated Children's Parents Association (ICPA) support equity of access to education for all students who live in rural and remote Australia.

Counselling

The school counsellor can assist when families undergo a trauma or big change. Contact us to make an appointment. For information in community languages see school counselling service.

Free telephone counselling services (outside of the education system) are available to support families who may be going through a difficult time.

Adult education

Interpreter service

Parents and carers who don't speak English well and deaf parents and carers who use sign language, can get help from the telephone interpreter service on 131 450.

You can ask for an interpreter for school matters such as enrolment, subject choice, educational progress, attendance, welfare or behaviour. Interpreters can also be requested for parent-teacher interviews, school meetings, school council meetings and P&C meetings.

Phone 131 450 and ask for an interpreterin your language and the interpreter will call our school and stay on the line to help with the conversation. You won't be charged for this service. Parents and carers who need an interpreter to attend a school meeting should let us know.
