Welcome from our principal
As the Relieving Principal of Southern Cross School of Distance Education (SCSoDE), I am proud to share some reflections on our wonderful school and the vibrant online community that surrounds us throughout Northern NSW, but also our community of students that are travelling around Australia and overseas. With a student body of both full time and single course learners, we strive to create an environment where high expectations are not just set but are also met and exceeded.
Our school is a place where students are encouraged to explore their interests and talents, whether they lie in academics, sports, the arts, or cultural pursuits. We believe that by fostering a well-rounded educational experience, we prepare our students not only for their future academic endeavours but also for their roles as engaged and responsible citizens.
At SCSoDE we understand that every student is unique, and we celebrate the diverse strengths and abilities each child brings to our distance education online community. Our talented teachers work tirelessly to create engaging and challenging learning experiences that inspire students to reach their full potential through live online lessons and Canvas coursework.
