Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
"Welcome to Southern Cross School of Distance Education. Our school community is unique. Students join us from remote properties, busy towns, and travelling across Australia and overseas locations. Some students come to us for short-term support; others complete their entire schooling with us. No matter the pathway, our focus remains the same: regardless of location, personal situation, or required support, our students can access a high-quality public education.
Through online live lessons, digital learning programs, and communication with families and supervisors, we ensure students feel connected, supported, and able to thrive. Our teachers build strong relationships and work in partnership with families to create a virtual learning environment that encourages growth, wellbeing, and success."
Mrs Kirstin Beck, Relieving Principal of Southern Cross School of Distance Education
